  1. This README file accompanies VREPAIR for NetWare 386 v3.10 rev. A.  The
  2. following files are included for this revision:

  6.       V_MAC    NLM      4914 12-10-90   7:06a

  8. This version of VREPAIR corrects problems with FAT chain overlap,
  9. unrecoverable read errors, VREPAIR changes not written to disk, and problems
  10. when both Primary and Secondary mirrored FATs contain an invalid link value. 
  11. This version will also correct some problems experienced when using the
  12. ERASEFIX patch previously distributed on NetWire.
  13.  
  14. WARNING! This version of VREPAIR can cause data loss if used in conjunction 
  15. with the PS2SCSI.DSK driver.
  16.  
  17. To install this version of VREPAIR:  
  18.  
  19. 1)    Copy VREPAIR.NLM and VRSHIM.NLM to the same directory as the other NLM
  20.       files on your system (SYS:SYSTEM is suggested).     
  21.    
  22. 2)    Type LOAD VRSHIM and then LOAD VREPAIR.  VRSHIM must be loaded before
  23.       VREPAIR.

  26. NOTE: If you are using a MACINTOSH NAME SPACE on your system, you will need
  27.       to ALSO LOAD V_MAC.NLM.  
  28.  
  29.     After loading VRSHIM and VREPAIR:
  30.     
  31.     Toggle out of VREPAIR (<Alt> <Esc>), then type LOAD V_MAC.
  32.     
  33.     Toggle back in VREPAIR and repair the volume.
